Ford has unveiled the all-new Mustang Mach-E to the European public at their new “Go Electric” experience, which is designed to help customers around the UK and Europe to make an informed decision when choosing an electric vehicle in the future.

The full-electric Mustang Mach-E has a range greater than 370 miles, making range anxiety a thing of the past, The Mach-E is at the forefront of Ford’s electrified range. By the end of this year Ford will have a range of 14 electrified vehicles, with an extra four by the end of 2021. Ford has made a promise to electrify all passenger vehicles which will be coming to the market in the future, investing $11 billion to electrify the range.

Ford of Europe engineers have been working on the Mustang Mach-E from the start to make sure it meets the needs of European customers. The Mustang Mach-E spring and dampers, electric power-assisted steering, electronic stability control and Mach-E 4 all-wheel-drive have all been tuned for use on European roads.

When spec’d with an extended range battery and rear-wheel drive the pure-electric range of greater than 370 miles gives the driver confidence when making long journeys, with 85% of pre-orders choosing the extended range battery. In 10 minutes a driving range of 57 miles can be achieved when using an IONITY charging station, charging at up to 150kW. When using the standard-range battery it takes only 38 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% using a DC fast-charging station.

The Mustang Mach-E can update over-the-air using the FordPass Connect on-board modem. These updates can improve performance of the car and update the SYNC communications and entertainment system. The cabin is light and airy with modern design features such as the B&O Sound System, integrated into the instrument panel like a sound bar. The Mustang Mach-E has three drive modes; Whisper, Engage and Unbridled, each mode gives a different driving dynamic and changes the ambient lighting and animations on the instrument cluster in accordance with each mode.
