Jaguar have a great motorsport heritage and to celebrate this they have released the limited run XE Reims Edition paying homage to their racing victories of the past. Jaguar's D-Type took its first victory at the 12-hours of Reims in 1954, driven by Ken Wharton and Peter Whitehead who averaged 105mph over 2,000km. The Jaguar-Daimler Heritage Trust have placed a plaque to commemorate the victory on the Jaguar pit of the disused Reims-Geux circuit.
In recent years, Jaguar has painted some of its most extreme models with the French Racing Blue paint, including the XKR-S and XFR-S models. The XE Reims Edition will also feature the French Racing Blue paint, the Reims Edition is the first model in the “Jaguar Factory Specials” range. This range will be limited run vehicles with unique features on the current range of Jaguar models.
