Kia Picanto, Stonic and Niro News

Kia has released special editions of both the Picanto and Stonic, they have also added another level to the Niro PHEV range.

The Picanto “Zest” special edition adds a fresh new eye-catching paint, Lime Light premium metallic, it uses a 66bhp 1.0 MPi petrol engine with Intelligent Stop and Go, it is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. As standard, the Picanto “Zest” is equipped with 15” alloy wheels, grey faux leather upholstery and a reversing camera with guidelines. Other equipment includes; bi-function projection headlights, LED daytime running lights, front fog lights, LED rear lights and privacy glass at the rear. Inside the “Zest”; high gloss black trim is used on the door armrests, air vents and lower centre console and a 7” touchscreen display which has RDS and DAB radio, it also has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality.

The Stonic “Maxx” Special Edition was popular during last summer so Kia has added a new colour combination for 2020, Clear white paintwork with contrasting red roof. The “Maxx” comes with a 118bhp 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine paired to either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed automatic DCT gearbox. As standard, the “Maxx” comes with exclusive 17” graphite-coloured alloy wheels, privacy glass on the rear windows and faux leather upholstery. Inside the door handles are finished in satin chrome and a reversing camera with guidelines come as standard.

The Niro PHEV range has been expanded with the introduction to the “2”. Known for its efficiency, the Niro PHEV has been reduced in price by £1,680 in “2” form, making it even more affordable, while keeping well equipped. Standard equipment includes; 8” touchscreen with DAB radio, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera with guidelines, roof rails and a towing pack, giving the Niro PHEV the ability tow a braked trailer up to a weight of 1,300kg. The Niro PHEV “2” also comes with 16” inch alloy wheels, part-leather upholstery, electric folding and heated door mirrors with LED indicators, dual automatic air conditioning and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

All models are available now, with the Picanto "Zest" priced at £12,650, the Stonic "Maxx" starting at £19,055 and the Niro PHEV "2" priced at £30,265.
