The Mitsubishi Mirage has been given a fresh new look for 2020, which is on sale now in the UK. The restyle gives a sharper look to the exterior while giving more equipment inside bringing the Mirage in line with the rest of Mitsubishi's range.
A major update is the new Dynamic Sheild brand identity, the new grille with bulkier bumper featuring recesses at the corners to give a wider stance. New sophisticated headlights have been added too which are available with LED daytime running lights and headlights. At the rear, presence has been added with a broader look, due to the bumper being squared-off and LED taillights being used. A new set of 15” inch diamond cut alloys completes the new look. Two new colours are available too; White Diamond and Sand Yellow.
Mitsubishi has refreshed the interior making it more stylish and user-friendly, featuring new door trims and switch panel, updated instrument panel with high contrast and fresh upholstery. The Mirage uses a 6.5” touchscreen with Mitsubishi Motors' Smartphone Display Audio (SDA) which gives smartphone connectivity such as Bluetooth calling as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and built-in sat-nav.
The 1.2-litre, three-cylinder 80hp MIVEC petrol engine stays, however, the economy and emissions have been improved. Coming as standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, a CVT automatic will be optional on the Design and First Edition variants.
Three trim levels will be available; entry-level Verve, mid-range Design and the limited high-spec First edition. As standard on the Verve; central locking, electric windows and mirrors, leather-trimmed steering wheel, rear spoiler, air conditioning, height-adjustable driver's seat and Bluetooth.
Design adds 15” alloy wheels, Keyless start, SDA audio system, faux leather and fabric seats, height-adjustable passenger seat, red accents on the front grille, rear privacy glass, electric folding mirrors and a leather-trimmed gear lever.
The first edition comes with more safety and luxury equipment, including Forward Collision Mitigation system (FCM), LED headlights and DRLs, chrome accents on the grille, rear parking sensors, cruise control, heated front seats, climate control, front fog lights and First Edition badges.
The new Mirage pricing starts from £10,550 and is available now with deliveries expected soon.
