If you are anything like James May then this will really get you excited! The 2021 Dacia models for the Sandero and Sandero Stepway have arrived, and they come with more tech and additions to make these cars even better value for money! The big improvements have come in the cabin, where the latest in-car modern tech has been added to both models, along with higher quality materials, the cabin is a much nicer place to be!

The new Sandero is being offered with four drivetrain options. The entry point is the SCe 65, a normally aspirated three-cylinder unit producing a modest 64bhp and paired with a five-speed transmission. Meanwhile, the sweet spot is likely to be the TCe 90, an 89bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo with either a six-speed manual or new automatic transmission. And then there’s the TCe 100 Bi-Fuel, which continues Dacia’s commitment to LPG tech.

The ever-popular Stepway with its rugged charm and stylish, off-road look is available in Essential, Comfort and new highly specified Prestige trim levels, with the same efficient engines: TCe 90 with manual or automatic transmission and the TCe 100 Bi-Fuel.

The model’s price tag hardly shakes, remaining around £7,995 starting price for the standard Sandero, and maintains its status as the cheapest new car in the UK! Dacia have clearly targeted the main areas that needed updating from its predecessor and have been successful. Further additions include Y-shaped LED daytime running headlights, Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS), electric windows and mobile phone docking.

In addition, Sandero Stepway customers have never had it so good with the newly introduced Prestige specification. It comes complete with automatic air conditioning, an electronic handbrake, all-round parking sensors with reversing camera blindspot warning, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloys on top of the higher specification that all new Sandero models benefit from.

The Sandero range is available from just £7,995, while the Sandero Stepway is available from £10,995. Looking for a used one? (Probably not having read this, they’re away to get a new one!)
