Citroën Dispatch News
Citroën is the 6th largest manufacturer of Light Commercial Vehicles holding 9.2% of the market share in Europe during the first six months of 2019. Citroën have been using their “Inspiré Par Pro” strategy since 2018, allowing their customers to customize their van to their own needs, with their range of light commercial vehicles (Berlingo Van, Dispatch and Relay ranges).
Citroën are aiming to have their entire range electric by 2025, both with their Light Commercial Vehicles and passenger cars. The latest part of this goal is the introduction of a full-electric version of the Dispatch which will be available from 2020, in addition to the Relay Electric which will be available in early 2020. The Berlingo Van will also be given the full electric treatment by 2021.
The Dispatch has a calibrated range, available with four levels of trim, including two new levels (Worker and Driver) designed towards construction sites (featuring raised suspension, protection plate, increased payload, and Grip Control) and long journeys (with driver assistance systems, for comfort and safety), respectively.
The fully electric Dispatch is designed with comfort and peace of mind for the customer, helping companies protect the environment. A Groupe PSA EMP2 multi-energy platform, the full-electric version of the Dispatch will be available with two batteries, giving different levels of range; 124 miles on WLTP cycle with a 50kWh battery or 186 miles on WLTP cycle with a 75kWh battery. Other benefits of the electric Dispatch also include; smooth drive with limited noise and vibrations, access to ultra-low emission zones, similar payload levels to the combustion engine-powered variant, a reduction in costs over its entire lifetime.
The full-electric version of the Dispatch will launch in 2020, with Citroën aiming to make it a benchmark in the electric LCV market.
