Jaguar XE Reims Edition News
Jaguar have a great motorsport heritage and to celebrate this they have released the limited run XE Reims Edition paying homage to their racing victories of the past. Jaguar’s D-Type took its first victory at the 12-hours of Reims in 1954, driven by Ken Wharton and Peter Whitehead who averaged 105mph over 2,000km. The Jaguar-Daimler Heritage Trust have placed a plaque to commemorate the victory on the Jaguar pit of the disused Reims-Geux circuit.
In recent years, Jaguar has painted some of its most extreme models with the French Racing Blue paint, including the XKR-S and XFR-S models. The XE Reims Edition will also feature the French Racing Blue paint, the Reims Edition is the first model in the “Jaguar Factory Specials” range. This range will be limited run vehicles with unique features on the current range of Jaguar models.
The XE Reims Edition comes with the 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol (P250) engine in R-Dynamic S spec. Each XE Reims Edition has many standard options which are unique to the edition. Only 200 units will be produced only for the UK market, all will be painted in the French Racing Blue, and feature contrasting parts including; black roof, mirror caps and sill inserts as well as 19”, five-spoke, gloss black alloy wheels. Standard equipment includes; privacy glass, exterior Black Pack which includes; gloss-black grille, side window surrounds, and side vents. Badge deletion, heated seats and Cold Climate pack with heated windscreen, heated steering wheel, and headlight washers are all standard on the Reims Edition.
New features which have been added to the new XE such as LED headlights, Apple CarPlay, rear parking camera and front and rear parking aids, will be available on the Reims Edition. The Jaguar XE Reims Edition will be priced at £38,295 and is available to order now.
